About me and this blog

Hi,

I wanted to introduce myself and what this blog is about. I'm 22 and I have just finished my undergraduate degree at the University of Bath. In September I am going to study the Early Primary PGCE course at the University of Cambridge as I want to become a primary school teacher. I am particularly interested in teaching children with special educational needs and have a lot of experience of this, so this is something I will pursue when looking for teaching jobs after my training.

I have created this blog partially for myself, and partially for others going through the same journey as myself. I will prove information about the process of applying and interviews for PGCE's, as well as information about what happens after you have an offer. I will provide information about how I organise myself and prepare myself for the year ahead, which everyone says will be very busy! Once I have started the course I will provide updates and information about what the course entails to inform people who hope to start a PGCE soon what the year will be like. I also hope to provide teaching resources and ideas next year and more so as I move on in my career, using it as a platform to exchange ideas. I have also created this blog as a chance to reflect on the positives and negatives as I complete my training, and on what I have learnt along the way, as we are continually told that reflection is vital to becoming a good teacher! I am happy to answer questions people may have, and hope you find my posts interesting and informative.
